Instructional Professor (Open Rank), Geographic Information Science
The Division of Social Sciences at the University of Chicago invites applications for appointment as Instructional Professor (IP) in Geographic Information Science (GIS) and the College. This is a full-time, career-track teaching position. The initial appointment will be dependent on rank but will be no less than two years. Appointments will begin Academic Year 2023-24 and are renewable with the opportunity for promotion. The IP will annually teach 6 quarter-long undergraduate classes, including one course in the Social Science Inquiry – Spatial Analysis core sequence and at least two courses in the current undergraduate GIS track.
