The Milgard School of Business at the University of Washington Tacoma invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Management position effective September 16, 2023. This is a full-time position with a 9-month service period. Candidates will teach classes in business communications and will also contribute to our management major by covering topics such as organizational behavior, entrepreneurship, social issues in management, change management, cross-cultural management, human resource analytics, negotiation and team dynamics. This position will actively engage in research in the organizational behavior and management field.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach in multiple modalities, including online, hybrid and in-person, in an urban-serving campus environment with a diverse student body, many of whom are first generation college students.

The Milgard School of Business, named in recognition of a multi-million-dollar gift from the Milgard family, enjoys strong relationships with businesses and the South Puget Sound community. The base salary range for this position will be $14,444-$16,022 per month ($130,000-144,200 per 9-month academic year), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include a one-time relocation allowance, if applicable. Applicants must have a PhD degree (or foreign equivalent) in management, organizational behavior, business communications or a related field granted or expected to be completed by summer 2023. Applicants must demonstrate excellence with respect to scholarly research and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
