The Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas at Austin seeks a tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Performance studies with a focus on the social, political, cultural, and aesthetic impacts of performance, whose work engages with one or more of the following areas:  Latine/Latinx studies, African diasporic and African American studies, Asian and Asian American studies, Indigenous studies, disability studies, gender studies, and/or LGBTQ studies. The successful candidate will serve as faculty in the Performance as Public Practice Program (PPP), a program that values innovation, collaboration, interdisciplinarity, and field-changing research and practice rooted in social justice.
