The primary focus of this position is serving as the Program Director for the Joint Master of Social Work (MSW) Program, teaching, student advisement, engagement, and retention. In conjunction with the Department Chairs at N.C. A&T and UNCG, the Program Director will oversee and administer all aspects of the Joint MSW Program including: Classroom/virtual instruction; Curriculum development; Recruitment and Retention of MSW students; and liaison between N.C. A&T and UNCG, the respective Departments of Social Work as well as departments across the university. In addition, Joint MSW Program Director will work closely with the Co-Directors of Field Education on all issues related to MSW field placements. Additionally, this Director will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the Program meet accreditation standards and complete assessment reports as required. This will include collaborating with the Assessment Coordinators and administrators at both institutions.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The JMSW program which has been in operation since 1997 and continuously accredited by the Council on Social Work Education since 2000 is jointly administered by the Department of Social Work and Sociology at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and the Department of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. This is one of the few joint MSW programs in the country and the only joint program between a historically black college or university and a former women's college. The hallmarks of our program are diversity and preparing students for multicultural clinical practice.

Requirements:
A doctoral and masters degree in Social Work
· Have at least two years of Post MSW practice experience
· Have an interest and commitment to student advising, success, and retention
· Have demonstrated potential for successful teaching at the University level
· Have excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills
· Have demonstrated and enthusiastic interest in Graduate Education
Preferred:
Five years teaching experience in a Counsel on Social Work (CSWE) accredited program.
