Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
- Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
- Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
- Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
- Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community. Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
- Assist with program development and growth, program assessment, and curriculum design and delivery.
- Practice community engagement through collaboration with other professionals and a commitment to meeting the needs of underrepresented and marginalized populations.
- Teach courses in an innovative and growing MSW program with substantive focus on trauma-informed clinical practice and collaboration with practice communities.
- Teach online MSW courses related to trauma treatment with marginalized populations such as refugees, other migrants, and/or LGBTQIA+. The incumbent will be expected to teach courses that would include, but are not limited to MSW foundation, field education, and/ or elective courses.
- Obtain/ maintain License Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) status in the State of Minnesota.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned MSW degree from a CSWE accredited program.
- Social work licensure (temporary or regular) in the State of Minnesota by start date in August 2023.
- Evidence of at least two years post MSW advanced practice with marginalized populations such as refugees, other migrants, BIPoC, and/or LGBTQIA+.
- Prior experience teaching in social work or related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to meeting the needs of marginalized populations such as refugees, other migrants, BIPoC, and/ or LGBTQIA+.

- Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching.
- Doctorate in social work or related field (Ph.D./ DSW or equivalent) by August 2023 start date.
- Clinical licensure (LICSW) in the State of Minnesota by August 2023 start date.
- Demonstrated interest in the integration of diversity, research, policy, practice communities' expertise, and practice immersion experiences throughout the curriculum.
- Demonstrated experience employing, assessing, and/or developing various innovative and research-informed trauma focused clinical practices.
- Demonstrated evidence of effective graduate social work teaching skills.
- Demonstrated experience in design and delivery of online courses.
- Record of trauma-informed scholarly and/or creative work.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and engage well with diverse students, faculty, administrators, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate as a member of a team.
- An ability to periodically collaborate in-person with program colleagues, students, and community partners.
- Demonstrated experience advising and supervising graduate level students.
- Demonstrated effective leadership experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to applying an honoring, strengths-based orientation to diverse individuals and communities.
- Demonstrated commitment to collaboration with community partners.
