Job Description
The Questrom School of Business at Boston University seeks to hire a non-tenure-track Clinical Assistant Professor trained in Strategy, Management, or Organizations. The anticipated start date for this faculty position is July 1, 2023.
The Questrom School of business is seeking to build capacity in the area of action-based learning. We seek outstanding candidates who with experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in business strategy that involve applied projects with external corporate or non-profit partners. Faculty appointed to this position will also be expected to assist with the development of experiential learning opportunities, and work with students outside the classroom on action-based learning initiatives and case competitions.
In addition to teaching and curriculum development clinical faculty are also expected to engage in academic research and publish their work in peer-reviewed and professional journals. The Questrom School of Business is building a strong group of faculties with expertise in all aspects of business strategy. Key hires in this area in recent years represent a strategic focus for the school. The research strengths of the Questrom School and its location at the heart of the Boston business ecosystem present a unique and exciting opportunity to develop a cross-disciplinary research agenda through applied learning.

Required Skills
Candidates are expected to have a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in core business-oriented disciplines with expertise in areas such as strategy, global business, business economics, and organization theory. We particularly encourage applications from candidates who also have relevant non-academic professional experience. The successful candidate upon hiring will be appointed to a department in the Questrom School of Business, such as the Strategy & Innovation Department, the Markets Public Policy and Law Department, or the Management & Organization Department, that is close to their area of expertise.
