Job Summary: | The Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies provides overall leadership for graduate studies in the College of Engineering (CoE). This leadership role includes oversight of graduate student services, responsibility for support and professional development of graduate students and postdocs, resolution of advisor and student grievances, and shaping of CoE policies and practices related to graduate affairs. A priority for this role is enhancing the graduate student experience at all levels through proactive measures such as increasing professional development opportunities for students, post docs, and faculty. |

Responsibilities: | Serves as a senior academic officer within a school or college. Plans, organizes, and directs the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of an academic program or function within the school or college.

Education: | Master's degree required; PhD preferred. Degree in engineering, science, math, STEM education, higher education or related degree. |
Qualifications: | Required: - A minimum of 5 years experience with pertinent expertise in the field of graduate education. Familiarity with pathways and milestones for graduate students in R1 institutions. -Relevant experience in managing and overseeing graduate programs. |

Additional Information: | This position is a leadership position in the college and will be subject to an annual review by the Dean and Associate Dean to ensure alignment with the ongoing college goals in graduate studies. |
