Job Description Summary:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Master's or doctoral degree in Sociology or related discipline. 
2. Experience teaching college-level courses in the discipline
3. Experience teaching in the Sociology discipline.  Additionally, a combination of education, training, credentials and/or experience that meets the needs and requirements of the Social Sciences Department 
4. Official documentation of credentials and degrees may be requested; degrees are recognized only if earned at an accredited institution.
5. Spanish fluency desired
6. Willingness to teach in non-traditional formats (online, remote, hybrid) and settings (off-campus, weekends, evenings and accelerated).
7. Other requirements as needed for the discipline.

Job Requirements:

1. Must be available to work Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department.
2. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
3. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
