Columbia Business School is pleased to announce that, jointly with the World Economic Forum, it is seeking to hire a qualified Postdoctoral Research Scholar as an Andre Hoffmann Fellow for a period of two years. The post doc will collaborate with colleagues at LEAP (Learning the Earth with Artificial Intelligence and Physics) to conduct research focused on climate change-related issues, and will spearhead a project aimed at addressing the barriers to scale hindering the effective use of climate model data for climate action. The Fellow will receive a research budget and funding to travel to/from the World Economic Forum, collaborate on research projects of mutual interest with Professor Vanessa Burbano at Columbia Business School, and work with the Head of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at the World Economic Forum.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in conducting research relevant to climate information and climate-related initiatives, broadly defined, and strong program management skills. Applicants should have a Ph.D. (or expect to complete theirs by Fall 2023) in strategy, management, organizational behavior, economics, psychology, sociology, operations, information science, or a relevant social science field from an accredited institution and have a record of being an outstanding scholar in every respect.
Teaching is not required.
