Position Description The Department of Sociology at the University of Washington invites applications for a non-tenure track, promotion-eligible Assistant Teaching Professor position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at both introductory and advanced undergraduate levels and will be expected to teach effectively across a range of courses, including introductory sociology courses, courses within the candidate's substantive area of expertise, and core required courses for the Sociology major. This may involve teaching across modalities (i.e., remote, hybrid, in-person teaching, and/or teaching with technology), in accordance with accessible and equity-oriented pedagogies, and/or public or community-engaged teaching.
