Required Education:
Millbrook School seeks a full-time history teacher beginning in the fall of 2023. Millbrook’s history department emphasizes skill development, specifically the skills of analytical writing, critical thinking, and public speaking. Candidates must be prepared to teach students of all age levels and should be able to teach U.S. History and other courses, including senior electives. We seek educators who value creating inclusive classrooms and curriculum and who are committed to their continued growth as educators. In addition to teaching four sections, this position includes coaching or supervising an afternoon program for two out of three seasons and serving as an advisor for up to six students. Housing may be provided and would bring with it residential life duties. Energy for adolescents, adaptability, humor, and integrity are the hallmarks of Millbrook's faculty. Salary is competitive.
BA in history or related field. Coaching and teaching experience preferred.
