The Child and Family Studies Department at Berea College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position. Candidates should have earned a doctorate or masters/ABD in family studies, social work, or a closely related discipline. Expertise in family systems theory and analysis of family and relationship functioning; ability to adapt and teach a variety of courses related to families; experience with active learning methodology and implementation and course management systems is preferred. The successful candidate will also show evidence of teaching effectiveness, particularly in courses related to family functions, diversity in families and/or effective communication and interpersonal relationships in families.
