The University of Minnesota Morris seeks to fill a full-time one-year position in sociology. The teaching load for this position will be six four-credit courses or the equivalent; in addition to teaching introductory sociology, other courses will be determined by the successful candidate’s area(s) of expertise and experience. Both teaching in person or remotely are options for the successful candidate.
UMN Morris emphasizes close student-faculty relationships and faculty-directed student research; the ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and/or experience in liberal arts college education and community. Candidates with expertise in rural sociology, quantitative methodology, and/or indigenous communities of the region are especially welcomed to apply.

Essential qualifications include a Ph.D. in an appropriate field, but ABD candidates will also be considered. Appointment is at the rank of Lecturer/Assistant Professor orTeaching Specialist.
