First Baptist Academy, serving students infant through eighth grade, is seeking a Middle School Spanish Teacher. The Spanish teacher will plan curriculum and instruction for middle school students, while supporting FBA’s vision, mission, and strategic goals with students and parents. This position reports to the Middle School Principal.

Key responsibilities include:
- Work diligently in curriculum planning, implementing instruction, and executing effective classroom management strategies for middle school-aged students.
- Communicate with parents during the school year through regular correspondence, electronic gradebooks, and maintaining class pages on FBA’s portal system.
- Work closely with grade-level team members, specialists, administrators, and other colleagues to ensure that all students make academic and social progress in accordance with FBA’s mission and core values.
- Embrace the use of technology to improve the quality of the education delivered to students.
- Pursue professional development in course preparation and classroom technology initiatives.
- Engage in student life, helping each student find his/her place in God’s unfolding story.
Qualifications:
- Authentic Christian character and a desire to work in a Christian environment
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, TEA certified school
- Current Texas teacher certification
- Experienced at least two years of full-time teaching
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Highly organized and thoughtful in approach
- Open to new ideas and collaborative
- Self-confident, flexible, and open to feedback
