Job Summary: | Research Assistant and Discovery Center Coordinator to contribute a wide range of skills and knowledge to support Center project development, implementation, and management activities. The Research Assistant and Discovery Center Coordinator will apply knowledge of social science/education research to support development of proposals for funding and professional development/training resources, to participate in evaluation and research work, and to engage in a range of project management tasks to support the work of Center Administrative staff, including the Center Director, Associate Director, and Center Coordinators for Operations and Finance and for Planning and Communications.

Minimum Qualifications: | Bachelor’s degree in education, educational psychology, psychology, statistics, data analytics, engineering, science, mathematics, business, management, marketing, sociology, or closely related field; a minimum of 1 year of experience with, or education in standard quantitative and qualitative research methods; a minimum of 1 year of experience managing data sets using data management systems and spreadsheets (e.g., ACCESS, Excel); a minimum of 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Professional, and/or Google Collaborative Software.

Desired Qualifications: | Consideration may be given to candidates with experience working in a university or college setting; experience working in a research group; experience producing professional writings for publication; familiarity with design software (e.g., Publisher, InDesign, Canva) for marketing/dissemination activities; familiarity with online survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics) for data collection; familiarity with project management and virtual conferencing software (e.g., Basecamp, Microsoft Teams, Zoom); excellent verbal and written communications skills; familiarity with APA guidelines; knowledge of social science and or educational research methods and approaches; experience writing reports and other professional documents; ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and detailed work accurately and efficiently within timeline.
