General Description
Full-Time Lecturer
The Department of Economics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland invites applications for a full-time position as Lecturer. The primary duties of the position will be teaching undergraduate courses and advising undergraduate students. We welcome applicants from all subfields of economics. This position is for one year, but renewable contingent upon performance.
Qualifications
Applicants should have at least two years of experience as instructors for undergraduate economics courses, and should have a record of excellent teaching performance. Applicants should be able to teach introductory and intermediate courses in microeconomic and macroeconomic theory as well as statistics and econometrics. The Department has a particular interest in candidates who will make substantial contributions to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Thus, we seek candidates who have experience mentoring, teaching or advising students from under-represented backgrounds.
