St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, MD seeks a 7th and 8th grade History Teacher to begin August 20, 2023. The mission of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is to know and inspire each child in an inclusive community dedicated to exceptional teaching, learning, and service.
Position: The job involves teaching a four year-long History courses to 7th and 8th grade students. A minimum of three years of teaching experience is desired. To complete the full-time component of this position, the person will be an advisor to 8-12 students and sponsor an extracurricular activity, with coaching team sports being a most sought after attribute.
Qualifications: BA in History, Education, or a similar field. Our community is diverse and applicants should possess a high degree of cultural competency and demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds. Applicants should be skilled in the integration of technology as a tool to advance student learning. General flexibility, good humor, and the ability to work effectively as a team member are also essential.
