Job Summary: | The College of Letters & Science (L&S) Honors Program (https://honors.ls.wisc.edu/) aims to put into action the values of a liberal arts education and enhance the experience of highly motivated undergraduate students. L&S Honors Program advisors work as a team and serve as primary academic advisors to all undeclared L&S Honors students. Honors advisors also have an auxiliary advising role for program students who have declared a major. In addition to providing holistic individual advising services for ca. 1500 undergraduates, spanning new student orientation (SOAR) through graduation, L&S Honors advisors assist with development and assessment of advising-related programming and with administrative tasks that support the endeavors of the L&S Honors Program. |

Responsibilities: | Engages students in decision making processes and promotes appropriate and responsible choices on academic matters such as course selection and degree requirements. Maintains appropriate confidentiality, updates student advising records, and contributes to the development and delivery of academic advising related events and programs. Works to ensure students receive accurate, timely, and holistic advising services in support of promoting student success, retention, and program completion. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
