Oak Hill Academy is a coeducational college preparatory boarding school in the heart of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Our mission is to inspire academic success, cultivate personal growth, and personify a healthy community while fostering relationships among students, families, and our school.

Oak Hill Academy is seeking a social studies instructor to join our faculty for the 2023-2024 school year.  The academy provides students with a robust array of college-preparatory social studies courses, including college credit and honors courses.   Class sizes are small, and the learning environment productive and well-supported.

Successful candidates should enjoy engaging with young people, and possess the academic qualifications to teach social studies either by education, licensure, or experience.  An advanced degree is preferred, but not required.

The Academy provides a cash salary, on-campus housing, and meals (including for family), and a comprehensive benefit package.

Oak Hill Academy is a boarding school located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia and enrolls girls and boys in grades 8-12. The school enrolls approximately 145 students each year and averages a 10:1 student/teacher ratio. The diverse student body comes from 22-25 states and 5-7 foreign countries.
