Sound like something you'd like to be a part of? CBC is currently seeking an outstanding and enthusiastic individual to teach a range of courses in Mathematics. This is a full-time tenure track position in the Math, Science and Engineering Division at CBC. The faculty member will teach math courses ranging from developmental mathematics through advanced courses designed for general education and transfer. Candidates especially interested in teaching statistics and upper-level courses are encouraged to apply.

This position is for the 2023-2024 Academic Year for the new Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFPA) Program

The primary duty of adjunct instructional faculty is to serve students through faculty/student contact and by other activities related to the learning process:

Design and delivery of college-approved courses in accordance with approved course descriptions, student learning outcomes and class schedules;
Work with departmental faculty/leads/supervising administrators to develop syllabi, addenda and/or reading lists for each course taught; submit approved syllabi and addenda to division; assist in the annual course(s) update; participate in selection of texts and related teaching resources;
At the beginning of each course, orient students to syllabi and addenda;
Assess student learning outcomes, engage in timely interaction/feedback/grading to support student success and meet course outcomes;
Provide students with appropriate learning resources to facilitate student success in achieving course outcomes, program outcomes and appropriate College-wide Student Learning Outcomes; and
Maintain, submit and retain accurate academic records, including verification of class rosters and student grades.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a field related to Dental Sciences or other related field; and
WA State licensed dentist; OR
WA State licensed Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) or licensed dental hygienist with a Dental Assisting National Board Credential (CDA).

Columbia Basin College (CBC) serves the citizens of Benton and Franklin counties in Washington state with two-year associate degrees for transfer to a four-year university, and applied degrees for workforce employment. CBC also provides one-year certificates and basic skills for those pursuing a GED or high school diploma.
