Description:
The University Supervisor is an adjunct faculty instructor in the Teachers College (TC) under The Office of Teacher Education Services and Clinical Practice (OTES-CP). The supervisor serves as the liaison between TC and the P-12 school where teacher candidates are placed for their student teaching experience.
The primary function of the university supervisor is to provide guidance for the teacher candidate in their development of teaching competency, complete assessments which demonstrate that competency, and lend assistance to the mentor teacher.
While we are accepting all teacher licensure areas, the greatest need is in the following content majors and locations.
-Elementary Education (Muncie and Indianapolis)
-Special Education (Muncie, Indianapolis, and Fort Wayne)
-Early Childhood (Muncie, Indianapolis, and Fort Wayne)
-5-12 Licensed Administrators interested in the supervision of multiple secondary content areas
-K-12 Visual Arts (Muncie, Indianapolis)
-Science Education (Muncie, Indianapolis)

Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in a field of teacher education from an accredited institution.
-Currently hold or have held a teaching license in relevant field
-Experience teaching in the field in which you are licensed for at least three years in an accredited P-12 school or related administrative responsibilities in teacher education.
-Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy
-Must have the means to travel to multiple school sites within a specific area, and be able to navigate and work within the University's database and website systems.
-Currently hold or have held a teaching license in relevant field
-Experience teaching in the field in which you are licensed for at least three years in an accredited P-12 school or related administrative responsibilities in teacher education.
-Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy

Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Experience mentoring teachers in a professional, pleasant, cooperative, and collaborative manner. Experience in P-12 administration.
