Job Purposes::
The School of Social Sciences and International Studies at Wright State University (WSU) invites applications for one full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position with a two-year appointment at the rank of Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor, to begin Spring (January) 2024. The teaching load is 3-2 (semesters), focusing on the Crime and Justice Studies (CJS) program within the College of Liberal Arts. This faculty member will also develop and regularly teach Criminal Justice Administration courses at the graduate level to serve the CJ track within the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program.
Crime and Justice Studies at Wright State is a large interdisciplinary program within the School of Social Sciences and International Studies, offering a BA degree, a minor, and a certificate in Crime and Justice Studies. It also offers a certificate in Forensic Studies and Police and Investigative Studies. At the graduate level, WSU offers a Criminal Justice track in its MPA program. Successful candidate will be required to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as conduct scholarly research, advise students and engage in service activities. The candidate will also be a major contributor to the development of a fully online CJS undergraduate program.
