The Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia seeks an outstanding candidate for a tenure-track position in Management & Organization Studies, beginning July 1, 2024 (Rank Assistant Professor).
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have passion for and demonstrated abilities in delivering high-quality, scholarly research, and teaching excellence. Research interests consistent with Beedie’s strategic priorities of innovation, social responsibility, and a global perspective is a plus, however, high-quality research in any domain will be considered. They should have the ability to engage with communities of practice and make an impact through their research. The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in human resource management, organizational behaviour/theory, management or a closely-related business field (e.g., sociology, IO psychology); however, PhD candidates with solid indication of imminent completion may be hired at the rank of Instructor and will be promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor upon completion of the PhD.
Duties
The successful candidate will teach courses such as Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Negotiations, Organization Theory, Organizational Development and Change Management, Employment Systems, Group Dynamics. As a leading research university, the successful candidates will be expected to contribute to Beedie’s research excellence and collaborative academic community through service.

- research statement outlining proposed program of research and two examples of scholarly work
