The current base salary range for this position is $74,600.00-$97,200.00. Position description
The University of California at Berkeley seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment at the level of assistant professor in the Department of History.
The position is defined as 'Japan and the Northeast Asia region since 1500.' We welcome particularly applications from candidates whose research and teaching engage with the history of Japan and its interactions with the peoples, cultures, and polities of its region and/or the Euro-American presence from ca 1500 onward. Specialists in all subfields of historical study are warmly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

PhD (or equivalent international degree), or enrolled in PhD or equivalent international degree-granting program at the time of application.
