Position Summary:
Essential Functions:
- Directs the Global Outreach program.
- Contributes to the development of c-curricular leadership programs.
- Cultivates a given portfolio of global community partners with whom the Associate Director facilitates the Global Outreach program.
- Supports and contributes to the development and alumni engagement strategy of the CCEL, especially student-facing programs.
- Supports and contributes to the communication, marketing and events to support and celebrate students and student programs
- Contributes to the general work and success of the Department and Division.
- Supervises the Immersion Coordinator and Graduate Assistant for Student Programming.
- Carries out other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field (preferably with experience in Community Engagement, Education, Social Justice, and/or Leadership Development).
- Minimum three to five years of progressive experience in working with young people, especially college-aged students, through experiential learning and/or immersion programs.
- Full understanding of Microsoft Office and Google Applications.
- Strong communication skills, knowledge of social media.
- Strong understanding and personal commitment to Jesuit Educational Mission & Ignatian Spirituality.
- Display a deep commitment to justice, anti-oppression, and community development principles and best practices and ability to transmit these values through workshops/training for a wide variety of audiences.
- Cooperative, flexible, and respectful of staff, students, visitors and community partners. Honest and trustworthy.
- Willing to work some nights and weekends.
- Willing to travel occasionally between campuses, and additionally on local, domestic, and/or international site visits to community partners.
- Valid Passport.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Prior teaching experience and classroom management skills
- Fluency in Spanish or another language spoken in New York City is highly valued.
Minimum Salary: $72,000
Maximum Salary: $80,000
