Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Economics (Microeconomics; Race and Economics)
Description
The Department of Economics and Accounting at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in economics to begin in August 2024. We are seeking candidates with research and teaching interests in race and the economy; race and discrimination; or the economics of crime and criminal justice. The successful candidate will teach elective courses related to their research, contribute to teaching core courses, pursue quality scholarship, supervise student research, and be engaged members of the department and College communities. Preference given to candidates who would offer economics electives available to students in the College's new Critical Race and Ethnic Studies department.
This position carries a 3-2 teaching load with a full-salary one-semester research leave prior to tenure review, and generous sabbatical and fellowship leaves for tenured faculty. All full-time appointments include full benefits, including travel support and reimbursement for relocation. Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate excellence in scholarship and a commitment to effective undergraduate teaching in the context of a liberal arts college. Ph.D. or anticipated completion by August 2024 is required.
