The Department of Economics invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at all levels (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) with expertise in Macroeconomics, International Economics, and Industrial Organization. Senior applicants whose research profile fits any of the currently vacant endowed Chairs available to faculty in the Department of Economics will also be considered for the appropriate Chair.
Applicants for a rank of the Assistant Professor must hold a Ph.D. in Economics or an equivalent degree, or expecting to receive the Ph.D. before the starting date of employment. Candidates whose Ph.D. may be delayed but will complete all the Ph.D. requirements within the first appointment year may be appointed at the rank of Instructor. After the Ph.D. requirement is met, the appointment will be changed to Assistant Professor
Applicants for tenured positions must hold a Ph.D. in Economics or an equivalent degree and have a record of publication indicative of an appointment as an associate/full professor.
Applicants with the ability to add intellectual diversity, work successfully with diverse students and colleagues, and mentor diverse students and junior colleagues are especially encouraged to apply. Successful candidates are expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, establish and maintain an active and independent research program, and provide service to the department, the university, and the economics profession. Salary will be commensurate with the research record, qualifications, and accomplishments. The target starting date is August 16, 2024.
The Department offers a Ph.D. degree, a professional Master's degree (MSPE), and three undergraduate degrees (B.A. in Economics, B.S. in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics, and B.S. in Computer Science and Economics).
