Job Summary:
The Coordinator II, Special Programs Kids and Teens University (KTU) provides professional knowledge, administrative and managerial skills, and coordination for the assigned programs and projects that report to the Associate Director of Continuing Education. Responsible for the coordination and administration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) 3rd-12th grade summer camps. Maintains effective relationships and communication with management, clients, instructors, and staff to achieve the program's goals and positive financial results.
Essential Duties:
- Provides professional expertise of identifying, coordinating, planning, marketing, and the administration of STEAM 3rd – 12th grade summer camps.
- Coordinates and manages current programs, issues, and operations daily. This includes handling the daily operations of assigned programs; enrollment, scheduling, project management, and fiscal management within assigned programs.
- Provides effective communication with management, instructors, participants, camp partners, University compliance, and Division staff to facilitate effective delivery of assigned programs.
- Support program goals by compiling/analyzing data (e.g. revenue, expense, and enrollment tracking) and metric reporting and completing necessary program paperwork and documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with four (4) years of experience coordinating programs, working with youth programs or related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified educator, teaching and/or elementary/secondary classroom experience.
- Proven organization and time management skills related to the development and deployment of summer camps.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Excellent coordination, camp management and administrative skills.
- Excellent business acumen and communication skills; proven organization and time management skills, adept in project management and multi-tasking, self-starter, team player, detail, and deadline oriented, and great interpersonal skills.
- Solid computer, administrative and project management experience with proficiency in with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, experience in social media, online marketing, or public relations, including industry-standard analytics.
- A background in elementary/secondary education and or youth programs.
- Self-starter and detailed oriented problem solver.
