Job Description:

Senior Manager, Technology and Innovation for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the US (HQ: Chicago, IL). Develop product strategy and roadmap, detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports related to social science research, instructional design, and educational technology projects. Assembles and leads a project team, assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. Tracks progress, conducts analysis, as well as prepares for and facilitates project meetings. Acts as a resource for a project team and provides analytical guidance. Interprets complex project issues and provides analytical guidance to a project team. Identify and recruit vendors, track and review vendor deliverables, and coordinates the successful integration of vendor tasks. Conduct background research for emerging lines of inquiry in social sciences, including early childhood development, curriculum development, instructional design, and advances in language processing. Provide project management throughout the development of a new wearable technology to measure and enhance young childrenâ™s early language environments. Develop or implement educational interventions at scale in low-resource settings. Manage the conceptualization and execution of educational content, including development of a graduate-level course on Co-Directorâ™s research on scaling, includes apply statistical methods using STATA/R, interpreting randomized controlled trials. Create and deliver stakeholder communications, lecture materials, assessments, and build a team of teaching assistants to facilitate graduate-level classes. At the direction of Co-Director, co-teach lectures, provide guidance to teaching assistants and students. Revise course content based on feedback from course pilot. 

Education and Experience: 

Bachelorâ™s degree in Biological Sciences, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or in social impact/academic sectors required. Required skills: Five years experience in K-12 education. Two years with: developing or implementing educational interventions at scale in low-resource settings. Experience with curriculum development and working with instructional designers. Education or experience must include: randomized controlled trials, statistical methods for social science, STATA/R, content management systems for education; creation and delivery of stakeholder communications. May work remote with regular travel to Chicago campus. Background check including review of conviction history required.
