Position Summary
The Michigan State University Department of Geography, Environment, and Spatial Sciences has openings for up to 5 part-time Fixed-Term Assistant Instructor/Instructor/Assistant Professor to teach one or two courses per year. Searching for candidates with expertise or experience teaching in geospatial tools and technologies, cartography, GPS, remote sensing, spatial statistics, physical geography, or human geography.
Candidates must have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence and/or significant work experience related to the teaching assignment (for example, content proofing and development, answering student questions, troubleshooting technical issues, grading, calculating final grades, and working with a diverse student population). Candidates must have the ability to teach at the undergraduate level and create online content for geography courses.

Minimum Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor's degree for the rank of Assistant Instructor-Fixed Term, a Master's degree for the rank of Instructor-Fixed Term, or a PhD for the rank of Assistant Professor-Fixed Term, from an accredited university.
