Job Description: The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University seeks a part time instructor to teach one open section of Sociology 300 – The Socialization of Gay America Spring '24 (3 credits)Course Description – The socialization of Gay Queer America will focus on the process in which members of the LGBTQAI+ community are integrated into the culture of American mainstream society. The course will take an interdisciplinary approach as the topics presented will explore the social institutions of family, religion, politics, mass media, and the economy. Other topics of interest include music, popular culture, art, and the history of the LGBTQAI+ movement in America.
