ABOUT SOCIOLOGY 101 - INTRODUCTORY SOCIOLOGY:
Studies social patterns affecting the structure and functioning of group life such as cultural values, deviance, class structure, and social change. Examines methods and perspectives sociologists employ, and the ways group forces influence the individual in society.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and learning, adaptability, a positive attitude and a willingness to embrace technology. This person will strive to create and maintain personal connections with students and the college community.
They must be a friendly, enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic who contributes to Genesee's supportive community, dedicated to effective innovative strategies for student success. Must demonstrate commitment to diversity and inclusion as well as the ability to establish and maintain a positive learning environment. Incumbent must be mindful of and develop solutions that can accommodate all individuals to use GCC facilities without barriers, both digitally and physically.
Job Requirements:
Master's Degree in the subject area is required. Teaching experience in a community college is preferred. Incumbent will be required to instruct on the Batavia campus (as position is not remote).

This position pays a rate of $800 per contact or credit hour.
