Position Accountabilities and Essential Functions:

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Communication from an accredited institution of higher education, or a master's degree in a field related to human communication, along with at least eighteen graduate credits in Communication.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications
• Demonstrated commitment to Equity and Completion
• Demonstrated use of multiple teaching formats 
• Demonstration of collegiality
• Postsecondary teaching experience
• Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom climate and design curricula that foster greater sense of community

Additional Experiences Considered:

• Community College teaching experience
• Online teaching experience
• Demonstrated experience with teaching course content involving cross-cultural communication, and/or with theater productions involving cross-cultural themes
• Experience working with dual enrollment and/or Early Middle College students
• Experience with theater, theater history, and/or acting courses is beneficial in supporting the discipline's leadership of college theater activities
• Pedagogy is informed by belonging, equity, diversity and inclusion.
• Familiarity with learning management system software
• Demonstrated ongoing professional growth
• Ability to teach across disciplines
• Bilingual
