Position Summary:
Teach a course called Global Leaders – which is a part of a larger initiative within the Douglass Global Village program. In this course students will learn about global education, understand how gender impacts the lives of those around the world. Paying special attention to concepts such gender based violence, access to healthcare and quality education, sustainable communities, food security and other global issues, this course is predicated on understanding global feminism and how concepts should and can be explored from different regions including the global south. This course will engage students on issues surrounding social justice as it relates to racial equity and other forms of marginalization. Additionally, it will promote civic engagement and social responsibility that connects the local to the global through a feminist lens.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree. Teach 1.5 credit section of 01:988:296:10 on Tuesday5:40 PM – 7:00 PM
