SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Department of Education at UCLA seeks applications for temporary, part-time lecturers to teach within the Department of Education's undergraduate program and the Educational Leadership Program (ELP). Course(s) may include the following, and the lecturer may also be assigned additional courses according to the instructional needs in the department and in conformity with departmental lecturer workload policies:
-Learn common strategies for qualitative research analysis, including working within and across forms of data.
-Become conversant in issues of trustworthiness and validity as they are understood in qualitative research, including learning how to 'fine tune the coding scheme'.
-Learn how to present findings and describe analysis processes in the methods and analytic section of your dissertation.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, and the writing and grading of assignments and exams.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A doctorate in Education or related discipline is required for graduate and undergraduate courses by date of hire.
SALARY RANGE
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 15. The salary range for this position is $66,259 - $79,118.
