Position Summary:
The Department of Human Ecology, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University in New Brunswick, invites applications for the position of Lecturer for the in-person class Globalization, Development and Environment for the Spring 2024 semester.
The successful applicant is expected to take on all responsibilities for teaching the course. This includes twice weekly course meetings, preparing test/evaluation materials, grading tests and assignments, managing course materials through the Canvas course management system, and maintaining regular (remote) office hours to answer student questions and to provide student assistance. Previous course syllabi and materials are available to assist the Lecturer in maintaining continuity with previous semesters.
Minimum Education and Experience:
A Master's degree in Environmental or Development Policy, Human Ecology, Geography, Economics, or any social science discipline with a focus on international development or globalization is the minimum requirement. A PhD. and prior teaching experience are desirable and preferred.
