Job Description:
The Dauch College of Business & Economics (COBE) Graduate Assistant position is available to an Ashland University student enrolled within the MBA program. The Graduate Assistant will provide support to the Dean's Office, faculty, staff, and students in various academic and administrative tasks. This position is a part-time position that is conjoined with enrollment to AU in Graduate student capacity. The Graduate Assistant for the college is supervised by the Associate Dean, and is responsible to the College Dean.
Office Support and Administrative Tasks:
Office Support and Administrative Tasks:
- Helping with general office duties, such as photocopying, filing, and managing office supplies.
- Managing departmental or program communications, including emails, announcements and printed materials.
- Maintaining and updating departmental websites or social media profiles.
- Assisting with event planning and logistics for conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Assisting with student mailers, phone calls, and outreach for undergraduate and MBA recruitment.
Data Analysis and Research:
- Collecting and analyzing data for research projects.
- Using statistical software to generate reports and assist with data interpretation.
- Collaborating with faculty on research projects, data collection, and data analysis.
- Assisting with literature searches and bibliographic tasks.
Teaching Assistance:
- Assisting professors in the classroom, which may include leading discussions or proctoring exams.
Student Support:
- Providing guidance and support to students on academic and administrative matters.
- Serving as a resource for new and prospective students.
- Supporting undergraduate and MBA student clubs
Professional Development:
- Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Special Projects:
- Undertaking special projects as assigned by faculty or administrators.
Required Qualifications:
- Candidates must be enrolled in the Masters of Business Administration program at Ashland University
- Candidates must have earned a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
