Trinity Christian College seeks an adjunct faculty member to direct the Gospel Choir.
Students in Gospel Choir study and perform songs from the history and present practice of African American Gospel music, as well as modern worship music in Gospel style.
The Gospel Choir reflects the diversity and unity of the Trinity community, with a strong emphasis on supporting, mentoring, and empowering students. We seek a director who will not only deeply connect with students through excellent musical skills and experience, but also one who will welcome, train, and equip them as whole persons.
The Gospel Choir is a 1-credit ensemble that both performs on its own and partners with other music department ensembles and Trinity’s chapel program. It is deeply integrated in the Trinity community of students, staff, and faculty. Trinity’s music department is highly collaborative and seeks a Gospel Choir director who is open to creative partnership and collaboration.
The director also organizes and leads Trinity’s annual Gospel Fest, which includes performances by Trinity’s Gospel Choir and guest artists.
Master’s degree or equivalent experience required. Prior undergraduate teaching experience preferred.
