Visiting Assistant Professor in African American Studies
The African-American Studies Department at Colby College invites applications for a one-year visiting Assistant Professorship to teach four courses, beginning July 1, 2024. While a Ph.D. is preferred, an advanced ABD will be considered. We seek a scholar whose research and teaching experience focus on African-American culture and community in the United States. A specialty in African-American religion, politics, or social movements would be a plus. Teaching experience, innovative research, and significant organizational, cultural, or civic engagement with African-American communities in the United States are necessary.
