Position Information: Working under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Assessment and Evaluation, the Associate Director of Assessment and Evaluation manages critical processes related to the UCR School of Medicine's program evaluation and student performance assessment procedures. The incumbent will share primary responsibilities for program evaluation and student assessment processes, coordinating software system administration, and maintaining key databases, events, dashboards, and documents related to student course and teaching evaluation surveys and performance assessment forms as administered by the School of Medicine. The Associate Director provides support for critical elements of the school's quality improvement, accreditation, and assessment processes. The incumbent will use strong skills in both quantitative and qualitative data analysis and gain expert-level proficiency in software systems to guide and train colleagues and implement process enhancements necessary for the collection, analysis, and report preparation for complex evaluation and assessment needs. The incumbent is also expected to use excellent communication skills, mature judgment, informed decision-making, concern for detail and timeliness, as well as appropriate discretion to deal with complex, confidential, and sensitive issues on assessment and evaluation.

Minimum Requirements
Requires general knowledge in data collection and analysis techniques; statistics or social science research techniques; knowledge of common organization-specific computer application programs; knowledge of organizational principles and procedures involved in handling sensitive data (for example, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, or FERPA).
Understanding of organizational rules and regulations.
Able to provide good judgment, decision-making, and problem solving.
Thorough active listening, critical thinking, good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.
Strong ability to present information in a clear concise manner both in writing and verbally.
Advanced skills in Excel (examples: pivot tables, power query, vlookup).
Ability to function independently and take responsibility for results; organize workload with close attention to detail and accuracy; manage multiple tasks and timelines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and to handle sensitive/confidential information, issues and requests.
Skill in independently researching questions and making appropriate contacts when problem solving.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with statistical analysis tools such as SPSS, R, Power BI, or other software for data analytics.
Knowledge of learning management systems, examples of which include platforms such as ExamSoft, Acuity One45, Acuity Analytics, MedHub, and/or Canvas.
