Assistant Professor of German Studies
Rice University?s Department of Modern and Classical Literatures and Cultures seeks to hire a tenure track assistant professor of German Studies with open field specialization to begin July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will have additional secondary expertise in at least one of the following areas: sexuality and gender, multiculturalism, German-language literatures since 1800, media studies, environmental studies, or medical humanities. Native or near-native proficiency in German is essential. Commitment to program building and strong organizational skills are a plus.
