As a Full-Time ExemptDirector of Upward Bound/Educational Talent Search,you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all aspects of Umpqua Community College?s pre-college TRIO programs. These programs, funded through the Department of Education, provide college assistance, career exploration, and academic support services to more than 650 students at six high schools and six middle schools in Douglas County. The director is responsible for maintaining relationships with high school administrators and instructors, monitoring an annual budget of at least $546,000, ensuring all grant objectives are met, and supervising a staff of five full-time employees, summer adjunct faculty, tutors, and work study students.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Master?s Degree in Education, Behavioral and/or Social Science or related field required.
Three years of successful supervision, fiscal, and program management experience required
Demonstrated sensitivity and experience working with students and/or individuals from diverse social, economic, ethnic, academic, and cultural backgrounds required.
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:
Two years of previous college or high school level advising, counseling, supplemental instruction, and/or teaching experience preferred
Fiscal and student tracking management experience preferred
Experience with a TRIO program or other educational equity program preferred.
