The Department of History in the Prothro-Yeager College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Midwestern State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Texas History to begin in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will teach a 4-4 load that serves the core curriculum, the department’s majors, and our teacher certification program. Professors typically teach multiple sections of one-half of the American history survey and an upper-level course in their expertise. The successful candidate will teach Texas History once a year to serve our teacher certification students, and they will develop other upper-level courses that enrich the department’s offerings.
