Position Summary
Bellevue College, an open-enrollment institution serving both associate and bachelor's degree students, seeks an innovative and equity-focused Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness. This role is central to advancing the college's mission of fostering student achievement, expanding access, and promoting transformative learning. Reporting to the Vice Provost, the Executive Director collaborates with leaders across the institution to develop data-informed strategies that enhance student success, operational efficiency, and educational equity.
In this strategic role, the Executive Director will lead initiatives that empower all departments to utilize data for improvement, ensure compliance with NWCCU accreditation standards, and advance a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, the Executive Director serves as the Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO), overseeing accreditation processes to maintain high-quality education and accountability. Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Position Salary Range: $114,399/year - $171,599/year
The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Typically, new hire starts no higher than $128,699/year based on Bellevue College Exempt salary schedule.
We offer comprehensive compensation package with salary and benefits as the main components. Generous benefits package is offered through Washington State plans that includes multiple medical, dental, life and disability coverage choices for employees and dependents; choices of retirement and deferred compensation plans; paid holidays, sick, and vacation plans; transit program, reduced tuition, employee discounts and memberships, etc.
The employee is scheduled to work 40 hours per workweek. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, which means that you are not eligible for overtime pay.

The Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Analytics office at Bellevue College serves as the college's hub for data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. This office is dedicated to promoting student success, advancing educational equity, and supporting institutional growth through comprehensive research, data analysis, and strategic planning. The office also ensures compliance with accreditation standards and collaborates with departments across the college to promote a culture of excellence, service leadership, and community engagement.
Essential Functions
Institutional Effectiveness Leadership & Development
Drive strategic data initiatives that support student success, access, and equity within an open-enrollment college serving diverse populations.
Identify and analyze key trends to inform resource allocation, program development, and strategic decision-making.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of research and data professionals, fostering a collaborative culture that emphasizes service, transparency, and inclusive excellence.
Accreditation and Compliance (ALO)
Act as the Accreditation Liaison Officer, ensuring NWCCU compliance and managing self-studies, site visits, and accreditation reports.
Collaborate with departments to uphold and communicate high standards of quality in all accreditation activities.
Data-Informed Strategy
Foster a culture of data literacy across divisions and departments by presenting insights in accessible formats and providing training sessions that empower faculty and staff to make data-driven decisions.
Build tools and practices that facilitate college-wide data use.
Oversee the development of research studies, surveys, and data tools that support Bellevue College's mission.
Provide insights to support institutional planning, program review, and resource prioritization.
Student Success and Equity Metrics
Establish and monitor key performance indicators for student outcomes, with a particular focus on equity benchmarks and closing achievement gaps for underrepresented student groups.
Drive initiatives that promote equitable access and outcomes.
Community Engagement
Build strong connections within the college and with community stakeholders to ensure research initiatives are relevant, accessible, and aligned with the needs of the Bellevue College community.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master's degree in social science, public policy, higher education, or a related field with a focus on research, measurement, and analysis. Relevant experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis
At least four (4) years of experience in research and analytics with a focus on educational outcomes, access, and equity.
Demonstrated experience with accreditation processes, including self-studies, compliance reporting, or coordinating accreditation-related activities.
Proven supervisory experience, with a commitment to fostering inclusive and collaborative team environments.
Proficiency with data tools and platforms such as SPSS, SAS, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an open-enrollment higher education setting.
Familiarity with community college systems, particularly in Washington State.
Extensive experience managing accreditation processes and engaging faculty and staff in continuous improvement efforts.
Demonstrated experience building regional partnerships or engaging community stakeholders in institutional initiatives.
Experience developing Tableau dashboards.
Proven record of commitment to social advocacy and educational equity.
