SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This recruitment may be used to fill multiple positions at the Assistant Professor-Career level, the Associate Professor-Career level, or the Professor-Career level.
The newly developing Social Work program within the College of Nursing at Washington State University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, career-track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor position in Richland, Washington at our Tri-Cities campus. This position will have a primary focus on teaching and course content development that aligns with accreditation requirements of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). It is anticipated that the successful candidate will begin Fall 2025. This position will be based on our Tri-Cities campus with the expectation that the candidate will be on campus.

Clinical Full Professor: $96,186.00 | 9-month faculty salary
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS for ALL RANKS:
Hold a PhD or DSW from a CSWE accredited institution.
A minimum of two years of full-time post-MSW/Master's practice experience for all applicants is required.
Demonstrated service experience on campus, in professional organizations, agencies or in their communities.
Excellent communication abilities in written and verbal forms.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS for Clinical Associate Professor Rank:
Currently serving in the rank of an Associate Professor or equivalent at a post-secondary institution, or;
At least four (4) years of academic teaching experience as well as academic and professional service.; and at least three (3) years of clinical scholarship including refereed publications, presentation at national conferences, and/or contribution to professional guideline development.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSfor Clinical Professor Rank:
Currently serving in the rank of a Full Professor or equivalent at a post-secondary institution, or;
At least five (5) years history of clinical scholarship, including national and/or international publications, funded clinical projects and/or research; and held leadership positions in national and/or international professional organizations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL CANDIDATES:
Be licensed as a clinical social worker in Washington or able to obtain Washington State LICSW credential within twelve (12) months of hire.
Education experience, including the use of multiple digital or technology-supported teaching/learning platforms and mechanisms.
Expertise in accreditation processes within social work.
Familiarity and experience in social work offered in rural Washington state.
Experience teaching in programs delivered to students across multiple settings with an obligation to consider regulations and requirements in bordering states.
Be licensed as a clinical social worker in Washington or able to obtain Washington State LICSW credential within twelve (12) months of hire.
