Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Job Description:
The School of Architecture seeks a part-time instructor to teach ARC 650-Architecture Research, a one or two-credit course on advanced architectural research modes to graduate students in the M.Arch program. Professionals and critics will use a combination of online and in-person workshop in Syracuse. The workshop will provide a view into research methodologies and how they provide leverage into emerging processes and practices, that typically lie outside traditional architectural production.
The expected salary for this position in Syracuse is $2,750 per 1-credit hour. Those of a part-time faculty member with a teaching load of 1-credit including:
Developing a short syllabus for ARC 650
Preparation of tutorials and project while in Syracuse
Offering office hours prior to arrival in Syracuse
Meeting all designated class periods set forth
Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course
Conducting a public lecture and final review of workshop
Submitting final grades to Chair according to university regulations
Building a positive rapport with students
