Location: Syracuse, NY Pay Range: $1,440 - $1,854 per credit hour Pay Determination:
Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months salary unless otherwise specified.

Job Description:
The Department of Psychology is seeking a part-time instructor to teach PSY 765 Principles of Applied Behavior Analysis during the Fall 2025 semester beginning August 25, 2025 (3 credits).
Course description: Experimental and theoretical advances in learning relevant to the management of clinical phenomena. Operant and classical conditioning, modeling, aversive controls, extinction, and issues in behavior therapy. Permission of Instructor.
The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department.
Qualifications:
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or working towards a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field.

Responsibilities:
Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date.
Preparing lectures, projects or other student assignments.
Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week.
Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the class.
Meeting all designated class periods. If you are unable to meet with your class due to illness or emergency, you should exercise your best effort to reschedule the class or to obtain a substitute. You must also notify the department chair or their designated contact of your absence and of your plan to cover the class.
Working with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes.
Submitting completed final grades according to University regulations.
Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
Completing all other course-related duties as outlined by your departments policies for part-time instructors.
