The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse University (LA) is seeking an individual to teach TRF-LA 510.61 - Specialized Practice: Generative AI & Production on Thursdays 6pm-9pm during the Spring 2026 Semester (1 credit).

Course Description: This course explores the emerging role of generative artificial intelligence in the creation of content for film and television. Students will gain an understanding of how AI tools are reshaping pre-production, production, and post-production workflows. Through case studies, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, students will critically examine both the creative opportunities and the ethical and legal challenges posed by AI-assisted production. The course will emphasize responsible and innovative use of generative AI, preparing students to navigate a rapidly evolving media landscape where technology and storytelling intersect.

The class meets at the Syracuse University Los Angeles Center in the NoHo Arts District in the San Fernando Valley. The first class of this course will begin on Thursday, January 22, 2026, and end on Thursday, February 19. 2026.
