Reporting to the Director of Evaluation and Assessment, the Analyst supports campus-wide assessment initiatives at both the program and institutional levels to promote student success. The Analyst is responsible for managing policies and procedures related to the evaluation of learning outcomes in academic programs and the performance assessment of non-academic units. Working under the guidance of the Director, the Analyst is responsible for administering the quarterly student evaluations of teaching for UCR courses, the annual assessment reporting process for UCR degree programs, and the annual core competency assessments for undergraduate education. The analyst will collaborate with faculty, academic departments, the Division of Undergraduate Education, the Graduate Division, the Library, and instructional designers in the Center for Teaching and Learning to develop and implement effective learning outcomes and sustainable assessment plans. The position also partners with leaders of non-academic units to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and corresponding assessment strategies that align with institutional goals. The Analyst may also participate in regional accreditation activities, including site visits, to help ensure institutional compliance and continuous improvement in assessment processes.
The full salary range for the Evaluation & Assessment Analyst is $75,900 - $137,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $91,250 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Advanced degree in education, statistics, or related field.

Experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

Familiarity with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).

Familiarity with statistical software, such as SPSS.

Experience working with PowerBI, CANVAS, Drupal, and Qualtrics.

Requires general knowledge in data collection and analysis techniques; statistics or social science research techniques; knowledge of common organization-specific computer application programs; knowledge of organizational principles and procedures involved in handling sensitive data (for example, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, or FERPA).
Understanding of organizational rules and regulations.
Able to provide good judgment, decision-making, and problem solving.
Thorough active listening, critical thinking, good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.
Strong ability to present information in a clear concise manner both in writing and verbally.
