Assistant Professor of South Asian History
The Leland Stanford, Jr University, Department of History is seeking applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor in the area of modern history of South Asia with an emphasis on India in the 19th and 20th centuries. In addition to research and scholarly activities, the selected candidate will teach courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level with a demonstrated commitment to mentoring. The ideal candidate will have an internationally recognized, robust, demonstrated record of scholarship, research, teaching on topics related to colonial state formation, social and economic history, global history, labor, policing, protest, historiography, pedagogy, decolonization, and postcolonial processes in modern India.
